National Cadet Corps (NCC)

Our college NCC troop has superior power and welt discipline. It is nick named as the troop of lions, regal army, and the troop of bravery and also considered as the second defence force, third army by all and also the top most student uniform force among the universe..

Our college has strength of 52 cadets, under the control of our college ASSOCIATE NCC OFFICER Lieutenant S.SENTHIL, Associate Professor; Department of Mechanical Engineering. He has been selected as Master Trainer for Disaster & Risk Management Programmer by Government of Tamilnadu. More than 30 cadets passed B certificate exams and more than 20 cadets passed C certificate with “A” grading.

NCC is an Organization engaged in conducting constructive activities for all the cadets under its fold. There is a strong belief that the training which our college cadets undergoing in NCC have tendency to trim them to work hard and also to develop self-discipline, leadership qualities and good value system. NCC also helps in shaping the students to dynamic and responsible citizens of India. It is certain that our college NCC training will be a platform for grooming tomorrow's citizens and leaders, and help in "Nation Building".

Our NCC Motto is Unity and Discipline. Cadets are trained to obey with a smile, to be punctual, to work hard and without fuss, to make no excuses and tell no lies

NCC helps

  • To develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizen..
  • To create a human resource of organized trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and be always available for the service of the nation.

Cadets also undergo basic Training such as Drills, Weapon Trainings; Youth exchange programs and NCC Social Service Activities. Our college ncc cadets actively participate in various camps such as National Integration Camp (NIC), Army Attachment Camp (AAC), Air force Attachment Camp (AAC), Trekking camp(TC), Combined Annual training Camp(CATC), Leadership Camp (LC) and Republic Day Camp (RDC).

NCC has adopted community development activities with the aim of imbibing amongst cadet’s selfless service to the community, dignity of labor importance of self-help; need to protect the environment and to assist weaker sections of the society in their upliftment. This was envisaged through programmes involving Tree plantation, save energy program, Blood donation, Anti Dowry oath, Female Infanticide Pledge, AIDS Awareness Rally, Visit to Old Age Homes, Slum clearance, Disaster Management & Relief, Village upliftment and various other social schemes.
