        Virtual reality is the term used to describe a three-dimensional, computer generated environment which can be explored and interacted with a person. That person becomes a part of this virtual world or is immersed within the environment and able to manipulate objects or perform a series of actions. There are many different types of virtual reality systems that are able to share the same characteristics such as the ability to allow the person to view three-dimensional images. These images appear life-sized to the person. They can also change as the person moves around their environment which corresponds with the change in their field of vision.

         The aim is for a seamless join between the person’s head and eye movements and the appropriate response, e.g. change in perception.This ensures that the virtual environment is both realistic and enjoyable.A virtual environment should provide the appropriate responses in real time as the person explores their surroundings.The problems arise when there is a delay between the person’s actions and system response or latency which then disrupts their experience.The person becomes aware that they are in an artificial environment and adjusts their behavior accordingly which results in a stilted, mechanical form of interaction.

        The Free Net network provides an efficacious designates of incognito information storage and retrieval. It is not intended to ensure sempiternal file storage, albeit it is hoped that an ample number of nodes will join with enough storage capacity that most files will be able to remain indefinitely. Sony Contact Lens

         Sony wants to take camera technology to next level with its latest patent. The Japanese multinational has been awarded an incipient patent that describes a contact lens able to record videos with utilizer's deliberate ocular perceiver blinks.The patented contact lens has perspicacious sensors embedded in it that can differentiate between an involuntary blink and a deliberate blink.Seven Japanese inventors have collaborated to design the contact lenses that in integration to a camera, withal includes wireless processing unit and a storage unit. This sanctions Sony's blink powered contact lens offer the facility for later viewing of images and videos.

Microsoft HoloLens

        Microsoft HoloLens is a pair of mixed reality smart glasses developed and manufactured by Microsoft. HoloLens is the first Windows Holographic platform under Windows 10 Operating System.

Design and Hardware
    •The HoloLens head is mounted display unit connected to an adjustable, cushioned inner headband, which can tilt HoloLens up and down, as well as in forward and backward direction.
    •The Front side of the HoloLens consists of sensors and related hardware including cameras and processors.
    •The HoloLens also comes with handy USB 2.0 micro-B receptacle, 3.5mm audio jack, reliable power management option with standby mode.

    •The HoloLens features an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) which includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, and a magnetometer, four ("environment understanding") sensors (two on each side), an energy-efficient depth camera with a 120°×120° angle of view, a 2.4-megapixel photographic video camera, a four-microphone array, and an ambient light sensor.
    •HoloLens also features IEEE 802.11 ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 (LE) wireless connectivity.

    •As of 2016, a number of augmented-reality applications have been announced or showcased for Microsoft HoloLens.
    •Holograms, a catalogue of a variety of 3D objects that can place and scale around you; ranging from tigers and cats to space shuttles and planets.
    •HoloStudio, a full-scale 3D modelling application by Microsoft with 3D print compatibility.

Lenovo Thinkpad

Lenovo has launched two new laptops under ThinkPad.

Lenovo Thinkpad P51:

        It has a smaller 15.6-inch IPS display with either 1920x1080 or 3840x2160 pixel resolution. The laptop is equipped with Intel Kaby Lake Core or Xeon E3-v6 processor but with a different GPU Nvidia Quadro M2200M. Since it weighs 2.54kg, it is still very portable. It is 1.02-inches thick. It has 15-inch display and 64GB of RAM. It has a 4K screen calibrated to cover 100% of the AdobeRGB color gamut. It also offers three storage devices support in RAID 0 or RAID 1. It is a bit bulkier than the P51s. It will be available in April. It is priced at $1,399 (roughly Rs. 94,300).

Lenovo Thinkpad P51s:

         It is an evolution of P50s. It is a Windows 10 based laptop. It has about 15-inch IPS display with either 1920x1080 or 3840x2160 pixel resolution. It is also equipped with Intel Kaby Lake Core and Nvidia's Quadro M520M GPU.It weighs 1.95kg. It is 0.79-inches thick. In addition, it supports up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM. It has two batteries. The primary battery runs out of charge, users can swap it with the secondary battery. It has a Thunderbolt 3 port for fast throughput with connected devices. It is priced at $1,049 (roughly Rs. 70,700).
